Hello my darling son. Gosh I miss you soooo much and even though we had an amazing Christmas Day, I was missing you terribly. On the 3rd of January it will have been 1000 days since I saw you last. It is such a long time and I hope you miss us too.
In November we went to Las Gaviotas again, the same house in Baja, Mexico - it was amazing. Just the 5 of us and also the 2 beautiful grandkids. Brett, Brandon & Jessie did a lot of surfing even though the surf was not good this year, it was very small. Dad and I looked after the 2 kids so they could surf and we enjoyed that so much. We are great grandparents and just love these 2 babies so much. We were there for a full 6 days which was so relaxing and great to be just with us.
We came home and picked up Misty and she seemed to have fun at the people we leave her with. She is doing great by the way. Sometimes Dad will say to her "Where's Craig?" and she will jump around expecting you to come through the door. It amazes me that she still remembers you. She is totally in love with the babies and adores them.
On the 6th of December, Reon Campbell Reisdorf was officially adopted!! He has just turned 2 years old. It was the most amazing thing I have experienced. Friends of theirs made a fantastic video of his life so far, so here it is: You can now meet your nephew. He is such a character and a lovely child, we are all so lucky to have him. Watch all the way through as there is some amazing video of him...........he calls me granny and calls Dad - baba. So cute...........
We are expecting Reon's biological sister to be formally adopted this new year. She just turned 1 and is soooooooo adorable. Her name is Lyla Ann Reisdorf. I will of course make a post of her when it is done. We are not allowed to post anything on the internet until the adoption is through. But all I can say is that she is beautiful inside and out and I am having such a fun time having this baby girl in my life, she is so special.
We had a wonderful Xmas here at home with 15 people + the 2 grandkids. All family members. It was one of the best Christmas's we have had in years. Jeff (your cousin) is getting married this new year in Oct. to a very lovely lady - Madison. They live in Nashville, so we will be traveling there for the wedding and because we have never been there it will be fun. We plan on renting a house through VRBO for all of us and experience all the great music venues Nashville has to offer, and to see Jeff marry Madison.
Grandpa Bryan is still doing very well and fit as hell. He turned 82. I hope to make another trip to South Africa soon to see him and other friends and family.
I want you to know that we are all doing very well in life, but we miss you terribly Craigie. Please come home.........there will be open arms from all of us for you and Shauna.
